The word ‘shrink’ here doesn’t mean the world is contracting in size but the latest technologies have made any part of the world easily accessible. In earlier times, people were not aware of the outside world completely and couldn’t meet and contact or communicate with other people easily. But as the technologies developed, people were able to communicate with other people around the world more easily. Globalization and improved means of transport and communication systems, people can talk and get connected to other people living in any part of the world using phones, and the internet. In addition to this, people can know about any happening of the world by sitting at one place using the internet, television, newspapers etc. Due to improved means of transportation, people can reach any part of the world within no time. Other countries and even planets now seem closer to us. Communication system has even become faster because of satellites. All these technologies bring the world at our doorsteps making the world shrunk.
