Complete answer:
Subhash Chandra Bose founded "Free India" centres in Rome and Paris.
Following the outbreak of the Second World War, Subhash Chandra Bose recommended a campaign of mass civil disobedience to revolt against Viceroy Lord Linlithgow’s resolution to announce war on behalf of India without consulting the people of India. Gandhi ji did not pay attention to his recommendation, hence he organised mass protests in Calcutta. Soon he was arrested and sent to jail by the britishers but also was released following a seven day hunger strike. Although the house of Bose was under constant surveillance by the britishers he managed to escape with the help of some of his followers and went to Germany through Afghanistan and Soviet Union. In Germany he established the Free India centre in Berlin and enrolled the Indian troops from the Indian prisoners of war who had previously fought for the britishers before captured by Axis forces. Other branches of Free India centres founded by Bose were in Rome and Paris and were headed by ACN Nambiar. The main functions of these centres were to manage european relations, nominating Indian representatives, aring of All India Radio and many more.

Note: After Germany Subhash Chandra Bose left for Japan by the Japanese submarine through the route of Indian ocean. There he built up Indian National Army in Singapore with the help of Japanese to fight Britishers for independence of India. The people usually called him ‘Netaji’ and greeted him with ‘Jai Hind’.
