How do you format an appendix (in an essay)?
I am writing my chemistry assignment, complete with equations, diagrams and definitions, and my teacher has recommended that, to save our words, because we have a word limit, to construct an appendix to put, in particular these three things, in. I just want to know how to format an appendix; what it should look like and what to put in it.
Thanks,
Lucy

Hint: Appendix is basically a section at the end of the book or the essay that include certain information but are not beneficial to the work, but they provide useful context and background material.
Complete answer:
The format of the appendix is:
Step 1: Appear at the end of your document, often after the reference list.
Step 2: Appendix could be divided into sections depending on topic.
Step 3: Have each appendix section start on a new page.
Step 4: Appendices are labelled with a letter or number, along with a title clarifying content (Appendix A: Instrument Diagrams, Appendix B: Test Results and etc.)
Step 5: Appear in the table of contents at the beginning of your document.
