Hint- Write the numbers down on a place and draw four dashes in front of them. Filing the dashes one by one by placing the digits into them will get the answer.
Complete step-by-step answer:
There are many possibilities as the number of digits are four. To narrow down our area of search and make it simpler, we will draw four dashes and place the given digits 7,6,8 and 5 one by one into the dashes.
__ __ __ __
If we start from the number 7, is it clearly visible that it cannot form the smallest number because a number smaller than 7 already exists in the question. Thus, we will simply find out the smallest number from the numbers given in the question and we will put that smallest number first.
Since the smallest number is five, this is what we get:
5 __ __ __
We still have 3 more numbers to place so we will again put a number in the next dash. Let’s say the number is 8. Putting the number 8 next to 5 will obviously not make it smallest as a smaller number than 8 already exists in the question. So, we will put the next smallest number in the question other than five in the next dash.
5 6 __ __
and we go on doing the same. We will get our smallest four-digit number without repetition. Hence the number is-
5 6 7 8
Note: In such questions, always look at the numbers given in the question very carefully and then put them in the ascending order i.e. the smallest number should come first and the largest should come last. This will make your desired smallest number without repetition.
