Hint: To find the quotient of 14 and 7, we are going to divide 14 by 7 then whatever we got from dividing 14 by 7 is the quotient of 14 and 7. Now, to divide 14 and 7 we have to find the number which on multiplication with 7 will give 14 or less than that. Then if we get 14 on multiplication of 7 by some number then some number is the quotient of 14 and 7.

Complete step by step solution:
In the above problem, we are going to find the quotient of 14 and 7. For that, we are going to divide 14 by 7 as follows:
7)14
Now, we have to find a number which on multiplication with 7 will give 14 or less than that. This number we can find out by hit and trial method by multiplying 7 by 1 then multiplying 7 by 2 and so on.
So, let us multiplying 7 by 1 we get,
7×1=7
From the above, we got the result of multiplication as 7 which is not equal to 14 so now, we are going to multiply 7 by 2 and we get,
7×2=14
As you can see that we got 14 which is equal to 14 so on multiplying 7 by 2 we get 14 so writing 2 and 14 in the division form we get,
7)1414002
From the above, we got the quotient of 14 and 7 as 2.

Note: The above problem will be easier if you know what a quotient is. So, make sure you have a proper knowledge of what a quotient is in dividing 2 numbers. Also, if you know the table of 7 then this problem will become easier.
