Hint: A sequence of color from lower to higher wavelength is known as the visible light spectrum. When a spectra is formed by refraction of light through a prism the color with highest frequency bends the least.

Complete answer:
The visible spectrum is the section of electromagnetic spectra which can be seen by human eyes. The visible spectra have a wavelength range from 380 to 740 nanometers. In terms of frequency, it covers a section of 405THz to 790THz. Unsaturated colors are absent in the spectra. Pure colors that have a single wavelength are taken into account.

A spectrum can be seen when a beam of white light undergoes refraction. For study purposes, an experiment was performed with a beam of light and a glass prism. When the beam of light falls on the prism at a certain angle it gets refracted and seven different colors can be seen directly. The color with the highest frequency will bend the least.

A beautiful example of atmospheric refraction is the formation of a rainbow. It takes place in the presence of sunlight and water droplets present in the atmosphere. When the sunlight comes in contact with a water droplet a combination of reflection and refraction takes place and as a result, we can see the natural visible spectra which we commonly termed as a rainbow.
So, the correct sequence of the visible spectra is:
Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red

So, the correct answer is “Option B”.

Note:
The sequence can be memories as VIBGYOR. The spectrum is always seen from a lower wavelength to a higher wavelength.
