Hint:Town planning is related to Indus valley civilization. It’s a period of eighteen century when the people are not having enough knowledge about the Architect but the town planning of Indus valley civilization is considered as most advanced and different from others. Town planning or City planning is one of the important features of Harappan civilization on work it is also known as urban planning that we see in Harappan cities.

There are many features of town planning main features are as like, In town planning system materials which they used to make buildings and monuments are
(I) Wood
(II) High quality burnt bricks
(III) Dried bricks (sun baked bricks)
These are three essential materials which they used in making their architect in the place where there is a chance of water leakage burnt bricks was used the contamination of water was stopped by using burnt bricks. The town was mainly made in a rectangular shape and divided into two separate part itself:-
(I) Citadel(fort)-It is on the west side of town which was made on elevated ground or we can say on the amount after creating that a podium was constructed and fort raised this is called the citadel. It is surrounded by a wall of bricks.
(II) Lower town-It is on the east side of town and also known as the larger lower town it is bigger (in the area) than a citadel.
Note:These both are surrounded by the dried brick. It's a most important feature of Mohenjo Daro or Harappa (Indus valley sites).
The drainage system of this town planning is also very impressive at that time as they have an underground drainage system and the small drainage connected with a large area of network or drainage.
