Hint:In physics, inertia of a body is a tendency to remain in its position whether it’s in motion or in rest. Any object which is in rest possesses the inertia of rest and it tends to remain in its same state while any object which is in motion possesses the inertia of motion and tends to remain in its state.

Complete answer:
Let us examine the situation that when a corridor train starts suddenly, the sliding doors of the same compartment may open briefly. Since, the floor of the train and the frame of sliding doors are in contact with each other. Both the frame of doors and the floor of the train possess the inertia of state initially when both are in rest.

So, when the train starts to move suddenly, the state of train from rest to motion converted, due to this the train has now inertia of motion but the sliding doors of same compartment wants to stay in rest due to inertia of rest so a relative motion occurs between floor of train and frame of sliding door which cause the opening of sliding door of same compartment when the train starts to move suddenly.

Note:It’s to remember that, all the bodies in the universe possess this property called inertia. Any object in the universe which is at rest with respect to any other object always possesses the inertia of rest while bodies which are in motion with respect to any other object always possesses the inertia of motion.
