Hint: Here we have been given a circle which is divided into $5$ parts and some of its parts are colored. We have to find the number of part colored and percentage of part colored. Firstly we will find the total number of parts colored and then divide it by total numbers of parts of the circle. Then we will calculate the percentage of colored parts by multiplying the fraction obtained by 100.Finally we will add the percentage sign in front of the value and get our desired answer.
Complete step by step solution:
The figure is given as follows:
As we can observe that there the circle is divided into total of $5$ parts so,
Total numbers of parts $=5$
Next the parts which are colored are $3$
Total number of colored parts $=3$
So part of the figure colored is as follows:
Colored part $=$ Total number of parts colored/ Total numbers of parts of circle
Colored parts $=\dfrac{3}{5}$
Next for finding the percentage of part colored we will multiply the above value by $100$ as follows:
Percentage of colored part $=\dfrac{3}{5}\times 100\%$
Percentage of colored parts $60\%$
Hence $\dfrac{3}{5}$ part of the figure is colored and $60\%$ of the figure is colored.
So, the correct answer is “Option B”.
Note: A circle is a basic $2D$ shape. It is a round closed figure and all points on the plane of a circle are at equal distance from the center of the circle. This distance is known as radius. It is a special kind of ellipse which has eccentricity as zero and the two foci of it are coincident. Diameter is a line that divides the circle into half and its values are twice the value of the radius.
