How many Earth-like planets are there in the universe?

Planets are heavenly bodies which revolve around a star like the sun. Our solar system consists of eight planets. The first four planets are terrestrial planets while the next four planets are big balls of gasses. Out of all the planets in our solar system, Earth is the only planet with life on it.
Planets which have rocky terrain and are close to the size of the Earth can be said to be Earth-like planets. Other features that make planets similar to Earth are the distance from the star, having the potential to hold water etc.
According to a recent space mission, the project Blue, it was discovered that there might be a planet similar to Earth revolving every star in different solar systems. For example, the recent discovery was of Proxima b, which is a planet very similar to Earth revolving around a dwarf star, Proxima Centauri.
It is estimated that there might as many as 6 billion Earth-like planets in the universe
Therefore, it's possible that there are Earth-like planets in almost every solar system in the universe and hence it is estimated that there might be about 6 million Earth-like planets.
