Hint: Draw the circuit diagram of the bulb, battery and key connected in series. The electrons move from the negative terminal of the battery to the positive terminal. You can assume that the conventional current follows the direction of positive charges.
Complete answer:
We know that the electrons move from the negative terminal of the battery to the positive terminal. We refer to the flow of electrons as electronic current. Therefore, in the diagram, the electronic current flows from the negative terminal of the battery towards the positive terminal as shown in the following figure. Now, the conventional current does not follow the direction of electron flow. Rather, the conventional current flows due to movement of positive charges. We know that the positive charges move from the positive terminal of the battery to the negative terminal of the battery. The conventional current and electronic current is shown in the figure below,
The current shown by blue lines is the conventional current while the current flow shown by red lines is electronic current.
Note:The magnitude of conventional current and electric is the same but have the opposite directions. Your digital meter always shows conventional current in the circuit irrespective of the electric current. In the early discovery of current, it was assumed that the current moved from positive to negative terminal of the battery. The direction of electron flow discovered later.
