The continuous movement of the water on, above, and below the surface of the earth is known as the water cycle. The water cycle is also known by different terms like the hydraulic cycle or the hydrological cycle.
A series of interconnected pathways are involved in the water cycle that involves both the biotic and the abiotic components of the biosphere. The surfaces of the land, oceans, lakes, and the atmosphere are involved in this endless cycle. The water cycle has different processes through the biosphere.
