Hint : Light from the Sun originates deep within its fiery core. It takes extreme heat and pressure to fuse atoms together to produce the light that we get. Since, Sun is our primary as well as the only source of natural light, we shall explore more about how this light originated from the core of the Sun.

It all starts from the core of the Sun where nuclear fusion occurs. Hydrogen atoms travel at a high speed at the hot, dense core and smash into one another literally fusing them together and turning into helium. Matter is destroyed and energy is given out. From the core, particles travel through the radiative zone for energy travels in the form of photons. They bounce from particle to particle constantly being absorbed and re-emitted taking for a photon over a million years to become real.
As the photons move further up in the Sun, their density decreases resulting in less collisions. It is then carried through scrolls of moving plasma like a soup boiling in a pot. The gases radiate energy at the surface and then cool down and sink again, ready to pick up more energy.
This process takes about ten days before emergence from the solar surface and makes it way to earth. By the time these photons reach earth, they have already been in existence for millions of years. From the convection zone, it only takes about 8 minutes for light to reach the earth.
