Yeah, for educational and entertainment reasons, today's young people spend more time on television. A big appeal is the visual effect of TV and young people find it more fascinating than studying in the classroom. One of the key factors is that people tend to live in nuclear families in today's age, and both parents work to meet financial needs. Therefore, when their kids come from school, they are at home alone and to spend their time, young people depend on T.V. When time passes, young people become hooked to television shows. There are several students, however, who cannot survive without T.V. And watch TV, even though they do their homework. Another reason might be that young people want to stay alone most of the time as they become reserved and do not have any friends to go out with them and play outdoor games. As a result, they stay at home and have television as their friend.
