Hint: Cytoskeleton is a complex protein present in the cytoplasm of all cells. It helps in the extension of the cell membrane from the cell nucleus. The proteins of the cytoskeleton are found in the form of actin and tubulin in prokaryotes.
Complete answer:
The cytoskeleton is present inside the cytoplasm, which consists of microfilaments, microtubules, and fibers to provide perfect shape to the cell, anchor the organelles, and stimulate the cell movement. It was earlier thought to be found only in the eukaryotes but since the new discovery, it is also found in the prokaryotes that include bacteria and archaea. Instead of microfilaments, and microtubules filaments of the eukaryotes the other protein fibers called actin and tubulin are found in the case of prokaryotes. Thus, the cytoskeleton is now found in the bacterial cell.
-The spindle fibers are also called the mitotic spindle made up of microtubules and found in the eukaryotic cells.
-Spindle fibers are a thread-like structure made up of numerous microtubules.
-Microtubules are made up of tubulin that helps in the formation of the cytoskeletal.
-The internal structure of cilia and flagella are made up of microtubules.
-Kinetochores are the part of the nucleus that attaches the chromosomes and the microtubules to each other.
-During cell division the centrioles give rise to the microtubules that help the chromosomes to move towards the pole.
-They help the cytoskeleton to have them organized, and rigid components so that the shape of the cell is maintained.
-Microtubules are highly dynamic in nature and have a length of about 50 micrometers.
Note:
Microtubules consist of a Wall of 13 columns of tubulin molecules that function to maintain the shape and motility of a cell. The inner framework is provided by the cytoskeleton which enables it to move and change shape. The fibroblasts contain fluorescently actin and microtubules and 27 microtubules get organized into 9 bundles of three.
