Hint: Adoption studies are the researches that are conducted to find out the impact of genetics and environment on the individual and according to most studies both have their part to play in a child’s development up to some extent.

Complete answer:
A) Nature and nurture is a concept that is talked about in psychology at great length. It refers to the role each aspect i.e Nature (genetics, physical characteristics) and Nurture (social environment, moral schooling, etc) have on an individual especially during their formative years of life.
B) According to several studies internal characteristics such as intelligence quotient(IQ) and predisposition to disorders such as schizophrenia etc are dependent on genetics and are inherited from biological parents. Their internal physical constitution is affected by the genes that they receive.
C) However, the outward characteristics such as personality traits of an individual are influenced by the adopted parents a lot as even from childhood itself a kid is exposed to a particular type of environment and social setting. This surrounding has a huge role to play in determining what kind of individual a person will be turned into.
D) Therefore it is proven that the personality and behavior of an individual are shaped by the ideas, attitudes, and beliefs he/she is surrounded by all the time.

Note: Studies have shown that two twins after being brought up in different households had the same IQ but different behaviors and values which shaped their beliefs further.
