Hint: Mineral is a naturally occurring inorganic substance which is formed by a mixture of several elements. It has a characteristic chemical composition and physical properties.

Complete answer: Minerals are divided into two categories, that is,
-Metallic Mineral Resources, and
-Non-metallic Mineral Resources

1.Ferrous are the minerals which mostly contain iron.1.Non-ferrous minerals are the ones which do not contain iron.
2. They have more weight.2. They have less weight.
3.Ferrous minerals are good conductors of electricity.3. They are bad conductors of electricity.
4.India exports a fairly large amount of ferrous minerals.4. India has few reserves of non-ferrous minerals.
5. They are magnetic in nature.5. They are non-magnetic in nature.


Note: While answering this question don't get confused between ferrous / nonferrous metals and minerals. Examples of ferrous minerals are Iron ore, Manganese, Nickel, Cobalt etc. Examples of non-ferrous minerals are Gold, silver, copper, lead, bauxite, tin, magnesium etc.
