There were four reasons for the non - cooperation movement Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and Dissatisfaction with Montagu-Chelmsford Reforms and Rowlatt Act of 1919.Jallianwala Bagh massacre was also known as the Amritsar massacre which held on 13 April 1919. General Reginald Dyer ordered the British Indian Army troops to fire their rifles towards the group of unarmed Indian civilians in the place Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, Punjab . In Total, 379 people died and over 1,200 people got injured.

Gandhiji United his knowledge and started the non cooperation movement on fifth September 1920. He persuaded all Indians to withdraw their interest and labour from any activity with the British government and their economy . It also includes British industries and educational institutions.
