There are two main breeders categories- Seasonal breeders as well as Continuous breeders. The key difference between Seasonal breeders and continuous breeders are-

Organisms that breed only during specific times of the year are called seasonal breeders.	Continuous breeders are organisms which can breed throughout the year.
They breed only when chances of survival of young ones are optimum due to the presence of conducive temperature, food and water.	They breed when they find their partner consisting of all gene pools required.
They breed in right circumstances which differ from organisms to organisms – temperature, availability of food and water etc.	There is no specific requirement in this category. They can reproduce any time throughout the year.
Females of such categories undergo estrus cycles and male of such categories exhibit changes in physiology.	Females in such a category undergo cycle changes and males in this category always remain able to copulate.
