Complete Answer: The area or the surrounding, in which we all exist, is called space. Space is the dimensions of height, depth, and width, within which all things exist. Simply we can say, space is a free, available, or unoccupied area around us. Therefore, outer space is defined as the place way above the clouds and atmosphere of our Earth or simply, the physical universe beyond the earth’s atmosphere. In space, there is a regulated flow of heat or simply energy but on the other hand, outer space does not have such a regulated and controlled manner. As space implies, it is one that is unoccupied yet available to be occupied. Hence, humans keep inhabiting and growing on earth and space keeps getting filled with humans, buildings, nature, etc. But in outer space, area or the conditions are not really available and free to live and exist. In space, there is pressure and proper control of it like the standard atmospheric pressure at sea level on the Earth is about 1 bar. Meanwhile, in outer space, there is no pressure due to vacuum in most of the region. The Earth’s liquid iron core extends far into outer space, shielding the planet from $99.9\% $ of harmful radiation. So, aside from the dangerous PET scans, Earth is only exposed to $0.1\% $ of radiation. Space is protected and far from radiation problems. Radiation in outer space can be acute and chronic to the living system.
