What is the difference between a national park and a biosphere reserve?

National parks are very large areas which protect not only wildlife but they protect the entire ecosystem, while biosphere reserves are large areas to protect biodiversity. Biodiversity is a variety of plants and animals of a particular area.

National Parks	Biospheres reserve
Covers area about 0.04 to 3614 square km.	Animals are protected in their natural habitat.
Made for the protection of a particular wild species.	It includes national parks and wildlife sanctuaries.
National parks are open for tourism.	Used for conservation and research as well.
Outside species are allowed for habitat.	Extends upto 5000- 6000 square km area.
Human activities are not allowed.	No outside species are allowed.
