Customer is defined as the person who purchases any good or service from the market whereas a Consumer is defined as any person who consumes the goods or services.
A customer can also be any business organization who purchases goods and services for the purpose of resale to any other organization but a consumer does not use it for resale and rather uses it for himself.
The price of the product or service is paid by the customer but the consumer may or may not pay the price because he might not be the purchaser.
The goods bought and services availed can be any individual or organization in case of customer but in case consumer it can be any individual, family, friends or any group of people.

- Need-based customers are those who buy products only in case of need.
- Wandering customers are the least loyal and valuable customers as they do not possess any consistency.
