Ancient humans used to travel a lot in order to search for food and shelter. They were less settled. Before farming humans used to hunt animals and gather wild trees and fruits. Agriculture made a huge impact on human life. Growing their own food was a big deal for ancient humans. They start to settle down and start to form a society as they don’t have to move every now and then in search of food. They begin to settle near rivers as they need water for irrigation. They built their permanent houses. These houses have stronger walls to protect them from wild animals. They don’t need to go hunting and risk their lives. They start domesticating animals like goats, cows and ox for various purposes. Farming was started from around 10000BC. They used to grow grains like wheat, barley etc. By 8000BC they start to grow vegetables like potatoes etc. In a place called fertile crescent farmers grew tall grasses which included barley and wheat. By 9000BC people started storing grains like wheat for winters. And now that they are not worried about food anymore they start to discover various new things like astronomy. They start to know the medicinal use of various plants. And start moving towards developing various things.
