The Brahmaputra river system (2.900 km) is one of the longest rivers in the world. Its drainage system is called Dihang in three Arunachal Pradesh. It is named the Brahmaputra after Pasighat meets two tributaries Dibang and Lohit (near Saadia). Note:
Its main tributaries are Maku, Tarang, Tuivai, Jiri, Sonai, Rukni, Katakhal, Dhaleswari, Longchinni, Maduva and Jatinga. The Barak River flows in Bangladesh until it merges into the Ganges-Brahmaputra River near Bhairava Bazaar.
