In the Eighteenth-century the French society witnessed a lot of change and one was the unfolding of the middle class who were ready to eat for their living through the expansion of the trades done overseas trades and from the manufacture of good quality of woolen and silk cloth pieces that would either be exported or it would be bought by the upper class of the society the rich people.
Also, in addition to being merchants and manufacturers, they were very well educated and were professionals like lawyers or administrative officials. They only had one belief in their mind that a person in the society should be given the privilege by birth and they had this opportunity where they were free as they had no compulsion to pay taxes like other people but rather, they should earn it as persons the position should be only be decided on his or her merits on what they can do.
