(iv) Maturation phase: Primary spermatocytes undergo first meiotic division to form secondary spermatocytes. Secondary spermatocytes undergo second meiotic division to form spermatids.
Spermatids become partially embedded in sertoli cells for spermatogenesis. The transformation of a non motile haploid Spermatid into motile spermatozoa in cytoplasm of Sertoli cells is called spermiogenesis
