Hint: Dividing the numerator of the fraction by denominator and then writing fraction as $Q\dfrac{R}{{Div.}}$, where Q is quotient R is remainder and Div is divisor obtained on dividing.

Formulas Used: $\dfrac{N}{D} = Q\dfrac{R}{D}$ where N is numerator, D is denominator of the given fraction and Q and R are the quotient and remainder obtained after division.

Complete step by step solution.
(a)
Given, fraction is $\dfrac{3}{2}$
Clearly the numerator of the fraction is greater than that of the denominator. Therefore the given fraction is an improper fraction.

We know that every improper fraction always be written in the form of mixed fraction. Mixed fraction is obtained by dividing numerator by denominator.
i.e. $\dfrac{3}{2} = 1 + \dfrac{1}{2}$ or
$1\dfrac{1}{2}$
Hence, $1\dfrac{1}{2}$is the required mixed fraction of$\dfrac{3}{2}$.
(b)
 Given, fraction is $\dfrac{{24}}{5}$
Clearly the numerator of the fraction is greater than that of the denominator. Therefore the given fraction is an improper fraction.

2. We know that every improper fraction always be written in the form of mixed fraction. Mixed fraction is obtained by dividing numerator by denominator.
i.e. $\dfrac{{24}}{5} = 4 + \dfrac{4}{5}$ or
$4\dfrac{4}{5}$
Hence, $4\dfrac{4}{5}$is the required mixed fraction of$\dfrac{{24}}{5}$.

Note: Improper fraction can always be written in mixed fraction form.
