# Convert 1 foot into meters.A.0.30 meterB.0.3048 meterC.0.3059 meterD.0.3067 meter Hint:We will firstly convert 1 foot into centimeters and then into meters.
The value of 1 meter = 100 centimeters
The value of 1 feet = 30.48 centimeters

As mentioned in the hint provided above, the value of 1 foot is 30.48 centimeters.
Now, if we will convert 30.48 centimeters into meters:-
We know that 1 meter is equal to 100 centimeters, therefore, while converting 30.48 centimeters into meters, we will shift the decimal two places towards the left.
Here, we are dividing 30.48 by 100.
Now, to know how many places we need to shift the decimal, we need to look at the number of zeros in the divisor. A hundred has only two zeros in it, so we shall shift the decimal to two places left. If the divisor would be thousand, i.e. 1000, then we need to shift the zero three places left.
So, after shifting the decimal two places left, we get 0.3048 meters.
Hence, the answer is (b) 30.48 meters.

Note:Basic Conversions:-
1 kilometer = 1000 meters
1 meter = 100 centimeters
centimeter = 10 millimeters
Etc.
One must always remember these basic conversions as they can come in handy.
