Hint: The Andaman Islands are an archipelago in the northeast off the shores of the Indian Ocean about 130 km southwest of Myanmar. They are located 150 km north of Aceh on Sumatra in Southeast Asia, and are separated from Thailand to the east by the Andaman Sea.

Complete answer: The Andaman Islands are home to the Andamanese, a group of indigenous people that includes many tribes including the Jarawa and Sentinales tribes. While some islands can be moved with permits, entry into others, including the Northern Sentinel Islands, is banned by law. The government protects their right to privacy. The ports of central Andaman are mostly moist deciduous forests. North Andaman has a wet evergreen type of specialty, with lots of wooden climbers. The natural vegetation of the Andaman is tropical forest, with mangroves on its banks. The rainforests are similar to the composition of Burma's west coast. Most of the forests are evergreen, but there are areas of deciduous forest in parts of North Andaman, Middle Andaman, Baratang and South Andaman Islands. The forests of South Andaman grow more and more flora, mostly ferns and orchids.


The climate is warm and tropical, with temperatures ranging from 22 to 30 degrees Celsius. The rainfall is heavy due to the annual monsoon and measures of about 3000 to 3800 mm every year. Nicobar vegetation is generally divided into coastal mangrove forests and interior evergreen and deciduous tropical and subtropical moist broad forests. Additionally, many islands have extensive inland grasslands, although these originate from human intervention. The Nicobar Islands is recognized as a distinct terrestrial region, the Nicobar Islands are rainforests, which have many endemic fauna. The Nicobar archipelago is part of a great island arc formed by the collision of the Indo-Australian plate with Eurasia. The bump raised most of the Himalayas and the Indonesian islands, and created a long arc of highlands and islands, including the Arakan Yoma border off the west coast of Burma, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the islands Sumatra, including Banyak Island and Mentawai Island.
