Hint: The female reproductive system is made up of several different parts that are all connected to each other. The ovary is the place where the eggs reside and the uterus is the organ where the eggs attach to. The fallopian tubes connect the ovary and the uterus.

Complete answer:
The female reproductive system comprises the ovaries, the fallopian tubes, the uterus and the vagina. The ovaries are the places where the eggs are stored. When it is time for ovulation, or the release of the egg to happen, a single egg will make its way down the fallopian tube.
The fallopian tube is long, slender and it is the connection between the ovaries and the uterus. There is one fallopian tube for each ovary. The portion of the fallopian tube that is near the ovary is known as the infundibulum. It has fimbriae that surround the ovary. When it is time for the egg to be released, the fimbriae of the ovary will catch the egg that is released and send it down the fallopian tube. Thus in this way it can carry on the female reproductive cycle. The fallopian tube is also the place where the fertilization of the egg takes place.
