Apartheid system racism was unusual to South Africa. During the 17th and 18th centuries, the trading corporations from Europe colonized South Africa and since the whites were in huge numbers so they finalized there and became local rulers. They initiated this prejudiced system in South Africa which was based on allocating people and tagging them on their skin colour. The aboriginal colour of South Africa is black and they were recognized as 'blacks'. Likewise, these two groups, some people referred to the group called 'coloured' as they were of diverse races and had migrated from India. The other community was 'white' which were non- Africans.
Because of this policy, the white rulers and people treated all the non-whites as inadequate. The blacks don't even have voting rights. The apartheid policy was especially overwhelming and exploitative for the blacks because they were illegal from living in white areas. To live in a white area, they must have a license. Public places like toilets, schools, taxis, trains, hotels, colleges, theatres etc were segregated from blacks this was named segregation. They could not attend the churches where white worshipped and could not protest for forms of federation against this system.

From 1950 the blacks, coloured and Indians have battled against this overwhelming system. They undertook strikes and protest marches. The African National Congress also combated against the policies of segregation. Rapidly the system came to an end.
