Hint:When an organism is developed from larva to its adult form and can change physical appearance is called metamorphosis. It is found in several insects and flies.

Complete answer:
Let’s discuss the given options and find the correct answer.

The formation of adults from larva based on the difference between two organisms is called metamorphosis. It may be extended, gradual or consists of several stages. It happens in just one step.

Primary stage i.e. the egg stage is the stage where the life form of housefly begins. Egg forms larva in between a day. The larva of the housefly is also called maggots. When the maggots pupate it forms cocoons. After a week, new wings and legs are developed and it becomes adult.

Cockroaches go through incomplete metamorphosis. In early stages, they produce nymphs which are later converted into adults. After some periods, nymphs began to molt, shaded and became larger. After the final molt , it emerges into adult form, becomes ready for mating and reproduces many more cockroaches.

Metamorphosis is of two types, complete and incomplete metamorphosis. In many flies and insects a complete metamorphosis process is found, it is called hypermetamorphosis.

Mosquitoes go through four stages to become adults. The stages of mosquito metamorphosis: immature egg, larva, pupae and new adult. Female marsh mosquitoes laid eggs in a moist area. The immature mosquito starts its life in the larva stage.

Hence, the correct answer is option B: Mosquito and cockroach

Note: Mosquitoes undergo complete metamorphosis, and there are four distinct stages during its lifetime. The entire life cycle takes around 8 to 10 days. The four stages are,
i) Egg
ii) Pupa
iii) Larva
iv)Adult
