Deng Xiaoping was one of the most powerful figures in China. Mao Zedong was one of the founding fathers of the People’s Republic of China, and he ruled as the Chairman of the Communist Party of China. Both of them were communist Veterans of the civil war and the defeat of the Nationalists and also both of them were in support of the peasantry rather than the industrial working class.

Mao was the one who united China but also this cannot be denied that he tried communism and almost collapsed the Chinese economy but Deng Xiaoping realized that communism is not suitable for Chinese culture and he dropped it as an economic policy while continuing with other ruling structures.
How was Deng Xiaoping and Mao Zedong were different from each other:
Deng Xiaoping was a modern communist on the other side Mao was an old and ruthless communist. Both of them were brutal in implementing their principles. Deng is seemingly a great administrator.
