Hint: There are many differences and similarities between aerobic respiration and fermentation. Fermentation is the process of catabolism which occurs in the absence of oxygen and aerobic respiration is the process of metabolism which occurs in the presence of oxygen.

Based on the number of steps there are differences involved in both the process as aerobic respiration includes two steps in the process and fermentation includes only one step in its process.
They are differentiated based on organisms used in the process, in fermentation it requires yeast and bacteria to produce energy, and in aerobic respiration, all organisms need aerobic respiration to produce energy.
Note: Fermentation is the process that is used in baking cakes and cooking too. To get these cakes fermented properly baking soda is used. Aerobic respiration involves the conversion of glucose into ATP, carbon dioxide, and water.
