Hint: Vyasa also known as Vedavyasa or Krishna Dvaipayana is an ancient author. He was famous for his wisdom and knowledge in literature. He has composed one of the most sacred texts of Hinduism, the Rig Veda.

Complete answer: According to the legends, Vyasa was born Lord Vishnu in his earlier life. So with his rebirth as Vyasa, he had great knowledge of the Vedas, dharmashastras and Upanishads. Apart from these Vyasa has composed the great epic Mahabharata and Puranas. It is believed that Vyasa seeks the guidance and knowledge of Ganesha in composing Mahabharata. Ganesha wrote the Mahabharata and Vyasa narrated it. The whole epic is in the form of a dialogue between Dhritarashtra, the father of Kauravas and Sanjaya, his advisor.
Puranas literally means ancient writings, is a sacred Hindu text. It tells the stories of legendary kings and the creation of the world. It was written over a long period of time, from the 4th century BCE to 11th century BCE. It consists of two major components. First, the myths that tell the stories of gods and goddesses.
