Adenosine triphosphate constitutes molecules of adenosine which are bonded together by 3 phosphate groups and perform a process of cellular respiration and chemical energy in food which gets converted into chemical energy that is used by a cell and is stored in the molecules of ATP. This process takes place when a molecule of adenosine diphosphate uses the energy which is released by cellular respiration to get bonded with the third phosphate group. The energy released from the cellular respiration gets stored in the bond between the second and the third phosphate groups and the cell needs the energy to do work.
