A metal is a substance which is malleable and ductile and conducts heat and electricity well. Metals are elements which have the tendency to lose their valence electrons. Due to the presence of free electrons around the metal atom, the electrons carry the electric charge in various directions.
The electrons move in different directions inside the metals. The movement of electrons is responsible for the transfer of electric charge from one point to another.
Alloys are composed of metals, carbons and other constituents like various elements. Alloys serve a wide range of properties like corrosion resistant, hardness, magnetism, ductility and enrich toughness. Beside this as they consist of metals and alloys also conduct electricity.
