Hint: Autotrophs make their food by the process of photosynthesis. The process of photosynthesis takes place within the green leaves of a plant. The food prepared by plants provides all the energy to it which is necessary for their survival, growth and development.
Complete Answer-
The products of the photosynthesis are Glucose (food) and Oxygen. The green leaves of a plant make the food by combining $CO_2$ and Water in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll. Oxygen gas is produced as a by-product during the preparation and then goes into the air. The food prepared by the green leaves of a plant is within the sort of a simple sugar called glucose. This glucose is then sent to the different parts of the plant. The extra glucose is changed into another food, called starch. This starch is stored in leaves and used when needed.
Glucose and starch both belong to the category of foods called carbohydrates and it contains a lot of chemical energy.
Chloroplasts are the organelles within the cells of the green plants which contain chlorophyll and where the photosynthesis takes place.
Sunlight, Chlorophyll, $CO_2$ and Water are all necessary conditions to perform the process of photosynthesis.
NOTE-
There are 3 steps in photosynthesis:
Absorption of sunlight by chlorophyll.
Convert light energy to chemical energy and splitting of water into Hydrogen and Oxygen by light energy.
Reduction of $CO_2$ by Hydrogen to form glucose by utilizing the chemical energy.
The 3 steps involved in photosynthesis need not take place one after the other immediately. They can take place at different times.
