Hint: In animals, the respiratory tract is a division of the respiratory system that is involved in the process of breathing. Respiratory mucosa or respiratory epithelium lines the respiratory tract. The upper and lower airways are the two parts of the respiratory system. The nose and nasal passages, paranasal sinuses, pharynx, and the region of the larynx above the vocal folds are all part of the upper respiratory system (cords). The larynx below the vocal folds, the trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, and lungs are all part of the lower respiratory tract.

Complete answer:
The locations of the larynx, pharynx and trachea can be described as follows:
1. The larynx is located behind the thyroid gland, in front of the C4 and esophagus, and in the middle of the hyoid bone.
2. Naso, oro, and laryngo-pharynx are the three sections of the pharynx. It is located behind the mouth and nasal cavity, and above the esophagus and trachea, is the portion of the throat called the pharynx.
3. Trachea: It is located inferior to the larynx, medial to the lungs, superior to the diaphragm, superior-anterior to the heart, anterior to the thymus, posterior to the sternum.
The tube that forms two branches one going to the lungs and the other to the esophagus is the pharynx. This channel splits at the bottom of the pharynx, with one for food — the esophagus, which travels to the stomach — and the other for air. When we swallow, the epiglottis, a tiny flap of tissue, closes the air-only channel, preventing food and fluids from entering the lungs.

Note:
The nose and nasal cavity, the pharynx, and the larynx make up the upper respiratory system, or upper respiratory tract. We can breathe and talk because of these structures. They warm and purify the air we breathe: the mucous membranes that line the upper respiratory structures catch certain foreign particles, including smoke and other contaminants, before the air reaches the lungs.
