Hint: The tongue is very sensitive towards taste and consists of various types of tastes depending upon the region where the particular taste buds are present. All the regions taste differently thus we are able to taste different cuisines.

Taste buds also are present on the tongue, the epiglottis, the palatoglossal arches, and therefore the posterior wall of the oropharynx. They are present in the various regions of papilla that include circumvallate papilla, fungiform papillae, and foliate papilla.

a) Sweet- tip
b) Sour- middle

-The presence of various papilla on the tongue the oral dorsal part contains mucus and is pink and velvety in appearance. It is attached to various muscles of the papillae and is thicker than the ventral surface.
-The tongue is made up of various muscles that include the extrinsic and the intrinsic muscles.
