Hint: Columns of Bertini present between the medullary pyramid and renal columns in the cortex region. Pyramid region projected outward the calyces and medulla obtained conical like structure. These two outer cortex and inner medulla regions are present in the kidney.
Complete answer:
Column of Bertini those SEPTA’s that separate the medullary pyramid and extend toward the renal pelvis were named after the French anatomist Exupere Joseph Bertini (1712-1781). After the techniques such as computed tomography (CT), excretory urography (EU), and ultrasound increase the knowledge about the columns of Bertini after the 1960s.
Nephrectomies and minimic tumors are time unnecessary performed by the column of Bertini. Persistent polar parenchyma is the result of a normal variant in the column of Bertini, which should be reabsorbed into the normal form of renal morphology and sub kidneys. But the HCB etiology technology is not that much helpful to obtain desired outcome results.
In case of HCB the exact incidence is not known after the diagnosis with CT or MRI and also with the help of Hypertrophic column of Bertini HCB hyperechoic because isoechoic with renal parenchyma and typically seen as ovoid lesions that extend from the medullary pyramid to the renal sinus and could be Hypertrophic column present inside mass of the isoechoic.
Note: Arterial and venous flow pattern same as the vascularity of renal parenchyma on Doppler in the HCB and interlobular vessels depending upon the hyperechoic area. During the case report study US unavailable to funding characteristics of the HCB person examined kidney Column. MRI is a more approachable technique to understand the image as compared to the HCB.
