Hint:This question is based on the concept of sound. Sound is defined as a mechanical wave that results in the back and forth vibration of the particles of the medium through which the sound wave is moving. It can also be said that sound is a form of energy that causes a sensation of hearing in our ears.

Complete answer:
On throwing a stone in a calm pond, we find ripples. Basically the disturbances which are created by the stone gives rise to ripples. A wave can be defined as the disturbance in the system. They transfer the energy from one point to another without themselves getting moved.

There are two types of waves- longitudinal and transverse waves. In longitudinal waves, wave particles oscillate in the direction parallel to the axis of propagation. A sound wave is the best example of a longitudinal wave. Like longitudinal waves, sound waves also need a medium to travel. The medium in which the sound wave travels can be solid, liquid or gas.

In a transverse wave, wave particles oscillate in the direction perpendicular of the axis of propagation. Electromagnetic waves are the best example of longitudinal waves. Electromagnetic waves do not need a medium to travel, they can even travel in the vacuum.

Therefore, we can conclude that sound waves are not a part of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Note:Even though waves transfer energy, they never transfer mass. Mechanical waves do not propagate continuously through the medium whereas electromagnetic waves do propagate. Also, their energy is not long-lasting like electromagnetic waves. The main source of the electromagnetic wave is the sun.
