Hint:The spontaneous and the stimulated emissions are types of emission that an atom will experience when it decayed from the higher to the lower level energy state and it is also known as the emission of the photons in two different ways called spontaneous and stimulated.
Complete Step by Step Answer:
Spontaneous emission is the process of releasing the photons when an atom or a molecule jumps or changes its energy level position from higher energy to the lower energy. For example, the light we are using nowadays in our homes will release the spontaneous emission (releases the photons when changing from higher energy level to the lower energy level). Stimulated emission is similar to the spontaneous emission but the atoms or molecules after excitation will interact with the incoming energy or photons and jump into a lower energy level, such interaction of the incoming and the excited photons are called as the stimulated emission. The laser light will work on the stimulated emission principle whereas the normal lights work on the principle of the spontaneous emission.
Note:There is chance of confusion between the both emissions, it should be revised that the stimulate is the emission that the atom will jumps to lower energy level only by interacting with the incoming photon whereas the spontaneous emission is just a process changing from higher to lower energy only by releasing the photons.
