All the cells in the body have a similar structure and functions. They possess the plasma membranes which bounds the cell organelles inside the cell body like the lysosomes, mitochondria, Golgi bodies etc. The organisms may or may not possess cell walls. The all cell organelles possess different functions for the survival of the organism. In humans, except the zygote all the other cells function similar to each other.
This is because the zygote is the totipotent cell that is obtained by the fusion of the male and the female gametes. Then this zygotic cell undergoes the process of cell division to form the embryo. This embryo undergoes continuous cell division to form the pluripotent cells. These pluripotent cells produce the tissues. These cells get converted into unipotent cells as the normal cells. Then they possess the normal metabolic functions similar to all the cells.
Thus zygote is different from the other normal body cell.
