Marriage processions, DJs during wedding receptions, loud music from neighbourhood flats, etc., are all sources of noise which are not good for the old, ailing and students. Sir,
Through the columns of your newspaper, I want to attract heed of the concerned authorities towards the increasing noise pollution in our locality as well as in the entire city. The city has already been dealing with the uncontrollable air and water pollution and in addition to that noise pollution is also paving its way in. It is causing great damage to the health and fitness of the people especially who are old and the sick. It causes great irritation, and there is a lack of peace.
The noise producing factories, construction work, etc which are important for industrial work are already there to spread noise. In addition to that, the common people contribute to the pollution. Marriage procession with sound producing fire crackers, Djs in the wedding reception, loud music from the neighbourhood, all these increase the level of pollution and are highly unnecessary. Noise control laws are violated with no sense of fear or morality. If this remains unchecked, people will develop hearing problems. Even the students, who are in the crucial part of life in making their future, get irritated as the noise robs them of their concentration.
It is a humble request that the concerned authorities pay attention to such problems and take necessary actions.
Thank You,
Sincerely,
Karuna Patel.
Note: Be precise and state the points directly instead of repeating and describing one single point.
