Hint: Growth is the process of a permanent increase in the size of a cell or an organ. If we observe the growth of several organisms, we can see several patterns of growth. The rate and manner in which different organisms grow are different.

Step by step answer:There are different patterns of growth. If we measure the increased growth per unit growth, we get the growth rate. When we talk about growth, it is seen in an organism as a whole and in individual cells. Some cells multiply way faster than the other cells.
While plotting the growth rate, we get two types of growth. They are arithmetic and geometric growth. Our limbs grow faster than our head. Allometric growth is also seen in animals too. Meanwhile in isometric growth, all organs of the body have the same growth rate. Sponges are the perfect examples of isometric growth. It is isometric growth that enables the organism to preserve their body proportion.
