Hint: Nervous system is the most complex system that occurs in our body, where it is the one which is responsible for the actions of the stimuli that happens and it comprises of two types, that are central nervous system and peripheral nervous system, and CNS composed of the brain and spinal cord while peripheral nervous system comprises of all nerves that connect this CNS to all body parts.
Complete answer:
-Nerves are long and they are arranged as fibers which are enclosed with bundles, and their function is to connect the central nervous to all body parts, and the nerve which carries the outer response or stimuli to the brain are called as sensory nerves, and the nerve which carries the response from the brain, to the target tissue or muscle then it is a motor nerve, where some nerves in our body show both sensory and motor action, and those nerves are called as mixed nerves.
-And the spinal nerves are the nerves that are extended from the spinal cord to the rest of the body parts and they are part of the peripheral nervous system.
-These spinal nerves are present as pairs on either side of the vertebral column, and there are 31 pairs of spinal nerves, which are divided as cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral.
-All of the 31 pairs of spinal nerves are mixed nerves, which means they have both sensory and motor action.
-Each spinal nerve are raised from the intervertebral foramen, and they have two roots, that are nerve fiber that arises from the dorsal root are afferent sensory nerves which carries always the information from the body parts or from the external stimulus are efferent motor roots which carries the motor information from the brain, so all of the spinal nerves are mixed nerves.
So the correct option is C, Mixed.
Note: Spinal nerves are part of the peripheral nervous system and they got the name as they are raised from the spinal cord, and this is present as pairs and each nerve as two roots and the nerve fibers are formed from different roots have different actions such as motor and sensory, hence these spinal nerves are called as mixed nerves.
