Akbar was born on 15th October 1542 in Pakistan. He is one of the navratna and is also known as “Akbar the great”. He was the third Mughal emperor who ruled between 1556 to 1605. He was born as “Jalal-ud-din-Muhammad”. He was passionate about literature and also had a library of 24,000 volumes written in different languages such as Sanskrit, Urdu, Persian, Kashmiri, and Arabic.
“Din-i-illahi” was a system of religious beliefs founded by Akbar in 1582. The elements of this belief were drawn from Islam, Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Zoroastrianism. The term “Din-i-illahi” refers to “Religion of God”. During the period of Akbar, it was called “Tawhid-i-illahi” which refers to “Divine monotheism”.

Additional Information – The beliefs and faith of “Din-i-illahi’ include the unity of God, the absence of meat or non-veg foodstuff, the celebration of the birth anniversary party, and the practice of non-violence.
