
Aditya has built a cubical water tank with a lid for his house with each outer edge equal to \[1.5\] m. He gets the outer surface of the tank including the base, covered with square tiles of side \[25\] cm. Find how much he would spend on tiles if the cost of tile is Rs \[480\] per dozen?

So total of \[180\] tiles are required to make the water tank
Now we have given \[12\] tiles cost RS. \[480\] because \[1\] dozen \[ = 12\]
Therefore, \[1\] tile will cost \[\dfrac{{480}}{{12}} = 40\]
There we need \[180\] tiles so total cost of tiles will be:
