Hint: Minhaj-i- Siraj was a 13th century Persian Historian. He wrote the history of the Islamic world known as Tabaqat-i Nasiri. The Delhi Sultanate was an Islamic empire that spread across the Indian subcontinent for 320 years. The Delhi Sultanate is referred to the five short lived Muslim empirewhich were of Turkic and Afghan origin.

Complete Step by Step answer: Minhaj-i-Siraj said that the queen’s rule went against the ideal social order created by God, in which women were supposed to be subordinate to men. He said this about Raziya Sultana who became the ruler after the death of her father Iltutmish. Raziya was the first child of Iltutmish. Iltutmish had planned for his son Nassirudin Mahmud to become his successor. But his son died and his other sons were absorbed in their luxurious activities and were not capable of ruling the dynasty after their father’s death. Razia proved herself when Iltutmish left her in charge of administering the empire while he was away on Gwalior campaign. She excelled in it and her father was so impressed that he chose her as his successor. He said that Raziya was more capable than any of her sons. However Iltutmish did choose his son Ruknuddin Firuz as his successor, because of opposition from the nobles who were not willing for a female ruler. But he failed as a ruler. However many showed allegiance to Raziya when her mother was under threat of being executed by a mob. She was placed on the throne and became the first female muslim ruler in South Asia. Minaj-i- Siraj was a historian during Raziya’s rule and he agreed to the fact that she was a more capable ruler than her brother who was not happy to have her as the queen.
Therefore Option(B) is the correct answer.
Note: Raziya faced stiff opposition from the Turkish nobles after she came to power. She was the fifth ruler of the Mamluk dynasty She had the support of the general public rather than the nobles. Raziya created a group of non Turkish nobles which created further resentment among the Turkish nobles. She did not want to be called “Sultana” because of her gender and proudly proclaimed the title of Sultan.
